In a time where many voices claim to speak for truth, it is important to be clear about what is believed and taught. The following is a summary of the core doctrines that guide this website. These beliefs are drawn directly from the Bible and are held with conviction.
Scripture
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, given by divine authority. It is complete, without error in its truth, and sufficient for teaching, correction, and instruction in righteousness. It is the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom, and power, and independent of His creation.
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and revealed the Father to mankind. His death was not accidental, but a deliberate act to provide a just payment for sin. He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again visibly and bodily.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and works to reveal truth, convict of sin, and guide believers. He is active in the world and in the life of those who belong to Christ.
Man
We believe man was created by God and was originally without sin. Through disobedience, sin entered the world, bringing separation from God and the reality of death. Every person is born into this condition and is unable to restore himself.
Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. His death and resurrection provide the only basis for forgiveness of sin. His sacrifice is sufficient to deal with the sin of the entire world and to provide eternal life to those who come to Him in faith. Those who believe are justified and receive the righteousness of Christ.
Heaven and Hell
We believe in a literal heaven and a literal hell. Heaven is the dwelling place of God and the eternal home of those who are saved. Hell is a place of eternal punishment for those who reject the truth.
Satan
We believe that Satan is a real being who opposes God and seeks to deceive and destroy. He is the enemy of truth and righteousness, and his final end is judgment.
The Church
We believe the church is a body of believers who gather for worship, teaching, and fellowship. It operates according to the pattern given in the New Testament and exists to proclaim the truth of the gospel.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public testimony of faith. It does not save but represents identification with Christ. We also observe the Lord’s Supper as a memorial of His death.
Security of the Believer
We believe that those who are truly saved are eternally secure in Christ. Salvation is not maintained by human effort but rests on the finished work of Jesus Christ.
The Christian Life
We believe that genuine faith results in a changed life. A person who is saved will grow in obedience and pursue holiness. A transformed life is the evidence of true conversion.
Last Things
We believe in the future return of Jesus Christ. We hold to a pre-tribulational rapture of the church and a visible return of Christ to the earth. The events of the end times will unfold according to God’s plan as revealed in Scripture.
