What We Believe

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and preserved word of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. The King James Bible is the version we use and trust without reservation.

The Nature of God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. These three are one God, co-equal and co-eternal, having the same nature and attributes.

The Deity of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, God manifest in the flesh, conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and will return in power and glory.

The Holy Ghost

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Ghost, who convicts of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, indwells, seals, sanctifies, teaches, guides, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.

Man and Sin

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but through disobedience fell into sin and became lost. As a result, all men are born sinners, spiritually dead and separated from God.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a free gift of God, not of works, and is received by personal faith in Jesus Christ alone. The blood of Christ shed on Calvary is the only payment for sin. All who receive Him are born again and become children of God.

The Church

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers. It is to gather for worship, fellowship, teaching, and the spreading of the gospel. Each local church is to be autonomous and under the Lordship of Christ, governed by His Word.

Ordinances

We believe in two ordinances for the church: baptism by immersion in water, and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism is a public testimony of faith and obedience, symbolizing the believer’s death, burial, and resurrection with Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a memorial of Christ’s death and a reminder of His promised return.

The Return of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will come again to receive His own, judge the living and the dead, and establish His eternal kingdom. This is the believer’s blessed hope and a vital truth that purifies and motivates holy living.

Final Authority

We believe that the final authority in all matters of belief and behavior is the written Word of God. No human tradition, opinion, or experience should override or contradict the plain teaching of Scripture.
